Recent Lost History

So I wanted to tell you that on Saturday, June 7 my mom Joyce left this world and went to heaven after being on home hospice in Knoxville. That applies to my history for sure and also relates to my great love for American history. She was from Boston and always encouraged me to read and learn more about our Founding Fathers and Mothers. I used to write essays when I was a kid for the DAR-actually won the State of Tennesse twice! So, it’s a great loss for us but a great gain for eternity. I am going to dedicate my first book “Cherokees, Goldmining, and Moonshining: A Brief History of Garland Mountain, Georgia” to her. It should be coming out in July if I can swing it. I will keep you posted!
