History Rocks

So I am brand new to the world of blogging–so new that this my very first post! (Am I doing it right?) It’s exciting and a wee bit scary. My intention is to contribute to the wonderful and highly interesting history of where I live, which is in Cherokee County, Georgia, USA. The way I am doing this is working on the manuscript of my first full length book. I am nearly finished with the writing of it. The title is “Cherokees, Gold Mining, and Moonshining: A Brief History of Garland Mountain, Georgia.” It has been about a 27-month project so far and a lot of fun! I hope to be finished with the book and have it published this summer. I will be giving regular updates on my progress.
